My thoughts, my space

It has been quite a while since I quit journalism. But that hasn't stopped me from closely following news and its impact. I hope this blog of mine will help me learn along the way.

One such is the business news. What gladdens my heart is the rush of global companies to India. True, they are hear to make money but then that is also because of the avaliability of good talent at low cost. The economies of the areas where they have ventured have resulted in growth and development. This has also resulted in a rippling effect of changes brought about many areas particularly - infrastructure, power, telecom, energy, education and so on.

On the other hand, young Indians who ventured out to foreign lands now long to come back to India and actively participate in nation-building exercise. Hats off to their enterprenurial spirit. If only the policy makers bring about a condusive environment, then I am sure help us to take a quatum jump, be it services or manufacturing.

Now, there's a renewed interest among global companies about India. No venture capitalist funds an enterprise without having a India-specific plan. The strength of India, apart from being a democracy with a strong judicial system in place, is its people. So much so that India can export their services be it in whatever form. If a country or for that matter a company requires say, engineers, doctors, nurses, lawyers or specialists in any field - you name it, India can provide them in good quality and quantity. That's the strength of India.

Bye for now...
